Point Reyes Seashore Lodge: Essential Tips for Your Visit

When planning your visit to Point Reyes Seashore Lodge, there are several important details to keep in mind to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. Unfortunately, these types of vehicles are prohibited from parking in the Lighthouse visitors' parking lot and must instead be parked along the road.

Please be considerate of other visitors and park large vehicles and trailers along the road as indicated by the sign, rather than occupying the small parking lot. Before descending to the lighthouse, be sure to take advantage of the restrooms available at the visitors' parking lot and at the east end of the green garages, which are located approximately 100 yards before reaching the Lighthouse Visitor Center. These facilities are open from 6 am to midnight.

Additionally, it's essential to note that cell phone reception is extremely limited or non-existent in the lighthouse area, so be sure to make any necessary calls or send important messages before arriving. If you're planning a mealtime visit, consider bringing food from home or stopping at one of the stores or restaurants in West Marin beforehand.

Unfortunately, there are no food services available west of Inverness, which is a thirty-five-minute drive from the lighthouse parking lot. However, there is a water bottle filling station/water fountain located near the east end of the green garages that can refill your containers.
